When I'm not shooting weddings or working for magazines and newspapers, I like to head out and see if the animals will share their lives with me. A Mountain Blue Bird finding food for its young, a Muskrat meticulously cleaning itself, a Bear devouring ripe berries, a pair of Ravens sharing a tender moment, or a chance encounter peering into the intelligent curious eyes of a Coyote. I come away from these new experiences with a new found appreciation of the natural world. After all, aren't we saturated with artificial stimuli in the world today?
Through my photography I try to convey the elemental in the human and natural world, the private emotional moment, and the essence of animal lives unveiled. On a daily basis, I am humbled by the subjects I meet, photograph, and get to know through my line of work. A photographer based in Canmore, Alberta, I'm available for local, national, or international assignments.
